What happen when increase the amount while submitting the work?

My client agrees to pay me for the extra work but I don't know how to ask for it now. What happens if I increase the amount while submitting the work? Is it good or illegal?

Is that fixed price or hourly job?

If it is a fixed price job and if the client already deposited the agreed amount in escrow, you can ask the customer to pay the extra amount as a bonus.

No need to mess about with a bonus.

Simply submit and edit the amount to what was agreed, as long as the client approves it the funded amount is taken from Escrow and the amount in excess of what is in Escrow is charged to the client's payment method on file automatically.
