What happened to the buy extra connects for bids?

Dare I ask what people said about the bright idea for bidders to keep spending connects to try and get their bid to the top of the list?

It was like people were going to think that boosting a bid, which the potential client was not going to be interested in, anyhow, was going to be be taken by the client because it was at the top of the list. A form of thinking you would win the lottery just by buying more tickets.

They said it was a testing stage, to be rolled out later. As for me spending extra connects does not work any magic so I stand by taking the time to write a good proposal.
