I am trying to upload a 690x400px image to my portfolio but no matter what I try it gets automatically cropped to a square. How I can get it to display the full rectangular image?

There are numerous threads on the forums about portfolio issues, like this one (you'll find more if you do a search):

Someone posted this work-around: First, crop/resize image in Photoshop to be 297x190. Next, use Image > Canvas Size to resize it to 297x297. Upload result to upwork, make the crop frame full height & centered, and result will be the 297x190 you started with in your portfolio.
I haven't touched my portfolio in a long time, so I'm not sure if anything has changed, but it's always been a PITA.
