What's up with Upwork and waiting periods?

Just random thoughts. Why is everything on Upwork about waiting?

1. Waaiting for account to be approved
2. Waiting for five days before getting cash for a fixed-price project.
3. Waiting for 10 days for an hourly contarct
4. Waiting for 24 hours for feedback to show on profile.
5. Waiting for a payment method to be updated

I'm curious - what's up with that?

All is for money business security purposes.

If you're TR, you don't have to wait 10 days for hourly anymore. One nice thing about hourly is you're paid at the same time every week, so you can schedule bill payments for those days. Escrow could be released right away or you could deal with a dispute or endless revisions and not see the money for months, but that's not really Upwork's fault.

I don't care about the feedback stuff and if you're already approved then who cares about the wait time at this point.
