What should I do? Project on hold

HI, I got my first job on UpWork and I am already facing a problem, I discussed the details with the contractor and we decided how the job needed to be delivered.

After some work he posed a mislestone, I submitted a aproval and he aproves and paid $ 100 of the $ 350 of the deal.

The project was a little complex but I needed some good review and kept goind, he posted anothe milestone and I requested a new approval, she said he was pleased by how I was working but didn't give the aproval (another $ 100).

It's been two weeks and I am sending him messages, I know he reads as his status changes to online for a few seconds and offline again.

I don't know how to proceed, I asked if he wanted to end the project but still no answer, nothing for almost three weeks.

Whats should I do now? Am I going to get my review? The product is almost done, am I going to get paid?

Hi Carlos,

If the client funded the payment for the rest of the project in Escrow, you can submit your work once you are done and request payment. The money will be released to you 14 days after you request it if the client is unresponsive. If the payment isn't funded in Escrow, you may want to wait for the client to fund it before you submit the work.

The second milestone is already funded, I think I did no receive the paymente because I re-submitted.

Thankyou very much.

Don't re-submit.

If you re-submit, you restart the clock. That postpones your payment.

Submit once. Wait 14 days. Get paid.

Hi Isabelle Anne,

Yes, Preston is correct. We've confirmed before that the 14-day period starts once the Milestone submission button is clicked and this is also stated in the Help article you linked. Additionally, every subsequent submission is registered next to the Milestone on the contract details page and shows the elapsed time.

Wow, I didn't pick that up from this line: "The client has 14 days from the most recent submission on a milestone to review and approve or request changes."

Unless I'm the only one who think it's not very clear, maybe it can be changed a bit to explicitly say that resubmitting a milestone resets the 14-day waiting period? Like how Preston explained it?
