What steps Upwork have taken to reduce spam job post?

Hi, Recently Upwork have taken a brilliant step to improve the quality of biddibg. Now we need to buy Connect from upwork. But some times we see some buyer post a job and then zero interview and zero hiring. Also some of them have the hiring rate of 30% - 40%. That means if he post 100 job, from there he hire from only 40. Previously it was not a big issue. When we spend close to $1 for a bid and no one get any response from the buyer or no interview or hire. It will be very painful and frustrating for us. I want to know what will be the future step for this kind of buyer. Thanks.

They will get less proposals because those freelancers who have to be careful about the connects they use, will not apply.

It entirely up to you whether you apply for a job or not. You can see the hiring stats. If you don't want to use your connects, don't.

We already look for and remove job posts that violate our Terms of Service. But we understand, for example, that when a client forgets to close a job post and doesn’t hire, it is frustrating for freelancers.
