Where/When does the video chat happen?

Just venting: I've been on Upwork for over 5 years, since it was Odesk, then Odesk-Elance! I don't understand why we have to keep doing this in the first place, but Upwork can at least have the process ironed out before messing with freelancers' livelihoods! Credits now cost $0.15 cents, no more free monthly allotment... fine. Freelancer plus membership going up $5....fine. But now we have to have regular ID video chats? I'm okay with paying more, but this is downright intrusive.

I would not describe them as "regular."

Some freelancers have done one. Some have done more than one. Some have done zero.

I've done two in the past 30 days. Four in 2019. I've been a freelancer here since it was Odesk. I feel like Upwork spends more time inconvenience long time, hardworking freelancers than the profiles that were recently created, CLEARLY fake, and have contributed nothing to the platform.

For the first time in 5 years, I'm actually signing up for other platforms.
