Why Can't We Filter Clients By Country Location?

It has come to my attention that applying to gigs would be so much easier if we could filter out clients by their location.

Why?

Because 99% of businesses in India (or anywhere outside of the U.S. to be honest) won't pay what an American professional demands for his or her work.

It's pretty easy now to just scan past clients who we KNOW can't afford to pay us what we ask for, but dang it could be so much eaiser.

As it is, clients hae SEVERAL options for filteirng out freelancers by their LOCATION, earnings, performance, and hourly rate, etc.

Why don't freelancers get those same options?

Cheers

Nonsense.

Plus you guys in the US can set your search to US only anyway, so you never have to see any jobs from all those nasty foreign people at all and are free to pretend the universe stops at the US borders.

That can be true. Many Scandinavians or Australians (for example) would refuse the low bids made by Americans. Some Europeans would regard them with suspicion.

"Plus you guys in the US..."  - let's not generalize.  I am sure that wasn't your intention but nonetheless every country on the planet has its share of folks with myopic views. Plus, we all know the universe ends in Paris.

Thank you Petra!
