Why amounts refunded back to client by Upwork

Hi guys,
I hope you all are good.
I worked per hour with one of my clients, and after completing his work he stopped replying to me even though he showed me online. After 14 days, Upwork automatically gave him a refund why? I really upset about it. 

Please help me with it.

Did Upwork have a contract in place for you on this project?

 

Did you follow Upwork's requirements for hourly project payment protection?

If you used Upwork's excellent hourly payment protection you should not have had a problem getting paid.

 

Did you precisely follow all of Upwork's requirements for hourly payment protection:

now is there any way to get back my money, I did the client's work, and it's mine why did Upwork refund him back.
I didn't hard work on his project.

Yes, I had a contract with Upwork. 
 Even, client gave me good review.

Upwork didn't choose to refund your client; they tried to charge your client and he refused to pay. Your client is the one who needs to sort this out.

 

If you had used the time tracker properly, Upwork would have paid you themselves. What was the job, and what hourly rate did you charge?
