Why are there ads for domain names popping up in my Upwork job proposals??

Hello Upwork Folks:

If I submit a proposal and mention a website, it seems like an ad for domain names is inserted. Although it appears that this domain is indeed for sale, an ad should not be inserted in my bid for any reason. Maybe it just shows up in my messages. What gives?

It's not an ad. It's a feature where when you share a link, Upwork pulls meta data from that page and puts it into the chat. This is usually the title and description meta tags of the page and even sometimes an image. Its actually a pretty annoying feature that many messaging services use. Most of the time I just want to post the link without all of the meta fields showing.

When you copy and go to paste simply right click and hit paste as plain text and it shouldn't do that.
