How is there no customer support email?! I get an unhelpful chat bot which offers no personalised solution and then sent to this forum instead of giving me access to speak to an actual person?!

Since you canceled the job, you will not be paid. When you close a contract from your end with money in escrow, those funds are returned to the client.
If you had simply waited after you sent the payment request, you would have been paid automatically in 14 days.
It IS frustrating that it's so hard to get live help here. But, if you had taken five minutes to read about how fixed price contracts worked, you would have known that all you had to do was wait. There's no help to be had now that you gave back the money.

If you really did cancel the contract, then you can forget about ever getting paid. The funds in escrow will be returned to the client and that's the end of it.
You might want to spend some time learning how the platform works before pursuing or accepting any more contracts.
