Why do I not meet the criteria for Upwork hours??

I'm applying for a job that demands at least 1 hours work for Upwork. I don't meet that criteria, according to the "system"... why not?

I did a project already for 250$ (for instance) - but that is still less than an hours work??

Because by the sound of it the project you did was a fixed price contract, not a "per hour" contract.

I tend to apply anyway if i dont fit the criteria for things like that - as long as im a good fit for the job

Ok. I get it. Thank you very much! 🙂

Hi David,

Hours are accumulated solely by working on Hourly contracts. Clients can set preferences for their jobs including setting a number of hours they prefer applicants to have worked on Upwork. You can still apply to these jobs, just make sure your proposal is well written and that you're absolutely qualified and certain of your ability to complete the job you're applying for.

Thank you.
