Why is there no 'End date' term listed on proposals from employers?

I received a proposal and could not locate the 'Terms' of the contract. It only lists the start of the contract and when the offer is good through. Any insight would be great!

There is never an end date listed, all deliverables and when they are due are between you and the client. Clients can put a due date on a milestone as a reminder if that is what you need. Upwork does not automatically close contracts unless there is some form of violation, so that also removes the need for a "end date". Your client should end the contract once the work is turned in and you have been paid. You are also able to end a contract on your own at any time.

I hope this helps with what you are looking for.
