Will I go back to paying 20% fee if I end current contract and get another one with the same client?

I've been reading about Freelancer Fees for an hour now, but I want to be extra careful about what I do.

I have a long-term contract and am up to $2,371.68 with this client (paying 10% fee and eager to go up to $10K to pay 5% fee obviously 😄 ). The contract title (job title) is different from what I actually do and we want to change the name of the contract, but I'm afraid that ending this contract and starting a new one would drop me back to payinhg 20% and I'll be another 10K away from 5% fee.

Could someone help me with this one?

Is there anyway we could change the contract name? Will I go back to paying 20% to this client if we get a new contract?

No.

Don't worry about this.

The fee is based on your life-time earnings with a client.

Does not matter if it is 1 big contract or 20 small contracts.
