If a work is completed successfully, then if I, as a freelancer, end the contract, then will it lower my JSS?

Only if the client decides to leave a negative experience in the Private Feedback.

Close with a positive, non intrusive reply.

Client will either ignore youor just drop the contract issue and not send any  feedback.

Just happenened to me because I cancelled - the product being sold was junk and I want no part!

Most will not get in aggressive mode if you be TOO KIND!

It completely depends on the client's Review not who closes the contract.
