With Experience Offline, How Can I Get My First Gig Online?

Dear community,

I am new to working remotely, I have experience as a product manager, UI/UI and social media consultant. How do I present my profile so people can easily trust me since I have not done any job remotely in Upwork before?

Hi Ashiodolo,

This article should help you properly build your profile:
https://www.upwork.com/resources/9-tips-create-freelancer-profile-stands-out

It is important that you complete your profile to 100%, which you can read about here:
https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211063188-Create-a-100-Complete-Freelancer-Profile

Also here are some great examples of good looking profiles:

It is also very important to submit quality proposals, here are some tips that should help you with that:
https://www.upwork.com/resources/how-to-create-a-proposal-that-wins-jobs

Furthermore, I suggest checking out this page which contains a lot of helpful articles to get you started:

I hope this will help you get your first clients!

Hey Upwork Team, something weird happened. This was a reply in a topic created by Ashiodolo, and now it looks like my reply /is/ the topic. I wanted to remove this but I can't, what happened to the original topic and why wasn't my reply (re)moved along with it?

Hi Filip,

It looks like when you posted your reply, and the original post was moved. I've located the post, and I've merged your post to Ashiodolo's.

Thank you for sharing those resources!

Thank you for addressing the issue, it would be great to have the replies automatically move with the associated topic, it makes no sense to leave the replies as a separate topic without the original post.

Regards,
~Filip
