Withdrawn contract by mistake?

Hi,

I found a problem with a new contract this morning, the client sent an offer and told me to enter my work with them for payment manually.

I clicked the message and found this information. Please see attached.

I texted the client and have been waiting for the reply.  Anyone can give me an idea of what happened with my contract? We agreed on the manual time for 3 hours that I worked for them yesterday.

Thank you,

Apinia

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

The client solved the problem for me already. They sent the new offer and contract. Everything is okay now, I can do manual time tracking. Thank you again for your advice. - Apinia

Hi Apinia,

The client has withdrawn the offer which means he has cancelled the contract. Now you can just message the client for the payment and wait for his/her response.

For next time, never work on the manual payment always work on an hourly base or if you want a fixed payment, then wait for the client to put the amount in escrow. After the payment is in escrow then only work on the task.

Regards

Thank you so much, Arjun for your advice.

Hi Apinia,

I agree with Arjun on this one... NEVER start working before payment is in escrow. In your case it'd be best to first add the 3 hours agreed and then start working.

I really hope you solve this. However, I'm afraid your client played 'smart' and closed the contract before adding the hours, so now there is no proof or 'protection' that covers you..

Another solution is that you contact the Support team sending screenshots of your chat. Maybe they'll contact the client on your behalf and find a solution!

Have you delivered the work as well?

Best,

Elina.

It was an interview in person and some interpretation of their issues. They told me they would pay for my hours.

I got no response now, if they pay I will come in here again and update the status.

Thank you so much Elina for your advice.
