Without any job Rising talent?

I saw few freelancer's profile who are Rising Talent but don't have a single job.
My question is that, according to Rising talent requirements freelancer needs to ----------have at least one contract (but too few to receive a JSS) and deliver great results to the clients.------ --

So, how these with no jobs became Rising Talent?

If you go through this article, it's visible that it has been mentioned the fact " Have at least one contract "
https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211063228-Become-a-Rising-Talent

But when I came across this article, there is nothing like that mentioned here,
nothing about having at least one contract,

Probably, upwork is giving the Rising Talent to new freelancers who are experienced professionals with strong external work histories and accurately showcased professional credentials on their profile, but are completely new on Upwork.

I have the same question too

Criteria changed recently.

Also, just because you can not see a contract on a profile (yet) does not mean there isn't one, as ongoing contracts do not show until after money has been paid.

Is it possible then that Upwork chose not to remove Rising Talent badges from freelancers who were awarded the badge before the change in criteria, but haven't yet won a contract?

Probably. Anything to prevent more screaming "WHERE IS MY RT BADGE GONE????" posts and tickets...

Amrin and others,

I'm currently double-confirming this with the team, but having a contract isn't a requirement for the Rising Talent program.

Again, we'll clarify and make sure we have correct information in the Help Center, blog and other documents.

Thanks!

Hello, I have the same question that began this thread.  I just saw a profile where someone has the Rising Talent badge and no jobs.  I have been on the platform for over a month, have two jobs with 4.55-5 stars, have a complete profile, and have yet to receive any type of badge.  Can you explain?

Hi Eugene,

The Rising Talent status is assigned automatically when a freelancer meets the requirements listed here
