Working at upwork & MNC

Dear Sir

I want to ask, is upwork the Multinational Company i.e., M.N.C?

Like the MNCs Schneider Electric, ABB, IBM, HCL, L&T, Google, face book & many.

Kindly, let me know.

Regards

R Roy

I am pretty sure Upwork has an official presence in at least a few countries, so that makes it a Multi-National Company. But the freelancers on Upwork are not working "for" Upwork, we work for clients directly "on a contract" so it cannot be said we work for an MNC. I have worked with many companies on Upwork that have a presence in multiple countries, so I've had MNC "clients" but those are just clients,s not my "employers" and the freelancers for them are "contract workers".

Dear Friends

I received both of your's messages.

But, I have some contradictions.

If, we are the Independent Freelancers, Consultant & Contractors, for upwork's Clients, then why upwork is giving us, like its own Office Employee types of Value Added Ratings, Badges & Facilities, to work with more Clients.

In a Factory & MNC, for a Client's Big Project, MNC receives the Project Revenue & then distributes, some Revenue percentage as Salary slip to their Employees.

The same pattern is followed in online upwork, but some what modified, because upwork mentions these Client's Revenue as Service charges, for us & Distributes the Revenue accordingly.

I would like to tell you all that we are also the MNC upwork Employees, but in different Departments, i.e., Remote Freelancing Project, Consultancy Departments.

The upwork onsite Employees in their Offices, works on the I.T Departments & internal Server System Trouble shootings, whereas, we online Freelancers work from Remote by Managing upwork's Clients.

These are the two Departments Office & Remote for Client Management in MNC upwork.

Kindly, feel free to communicate & revert back.

Regards

R Roy

No, upwork is not a multinational company, since they have no offices or operations outside the US. Don't know why that matters to you?
