Working for free to get credit

Hi is it eto new freelancers to work for simple jobs for free to get credits and positive reviews? If yes how do you submit a proposal

If you work for free, then the job will not appear on your profile page.

So the idea of working for free in order to receive positive reviews makes no sense.

How can this be solved

Francis, it can be easily solved by not working for free, which is an implication of what Preston just adviced.

But you can do work for a minimal compensation like $5 fixed price project.

A practical implication, however, is that once your track record says "I do dirt-cheap stuff" after the first job, guess what you're going to get as your next job? Yes, dirt-cheap offers. It's hard to get out from that pit... So I don't recommend it.
