Facing Issue while buying connects through by Visa Card. Kindly resolve he issue

This thread has been closed from further replies due to its size. In general, these issues occur when the transactions you’re attempting on your card keep being declined by the bank. Please contact your card-issuing bank for more information about the specific charge decline.

Hi Arslan, 

It looks like your issuing bank declined this transaction. Please reach out to them for more information about why this transaction was declined. 

In the meantime, please add an alternative billing method to be able to purchase Connects for your account.

Hello Upwork Support,

 

I was trying to buy connects and even added a VISA Debit Card, which though processed with OTP could not clear the transcation and in my Upwork a/c's 

"Billing & payments" page, it now shows "Payment was declined"

 

Can you please help with a reason because I know for sure that this a/c has the amount that would have been required for the payment.

suitable for international payments, as every debit card variant is not
compatible with international payments.

Dear Upwork Support, 

 

I was trying to buy a pack of 60 connects for $9 USD with a valid & active VISA debit card. But seems that the transaction failed and in the Billing & Payments section of my Upwork account it displays "Payment was declined" in Red against my card. 

 

Some directions from the authorised concern in this relate is being highly anticipated.

I tried to add my payment method for purchasing connects, but it is not adding, saying, "Your payment could not be processed. Please choose an alternate payment method or retry again later".

Please sort out the exact cause of the problem before proceeding further any more.

 

I have issued my visa card today. I could not buy connects with my master card so I decided to get visacard. If same error occur with visa card then upwork should take responsibility to resolve the issue. I will recieve card after 7 days. I also contact bank but they don't have solution of this problem.

I have tried to purchase connects then an error appears stated that "Your payment could not be processed. Please use an alternate payment method" but my Gcash (linked to my Paypal) account was deducted. Anyone could help?

You will need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the green button "Buy Connects. You can also try clearing your cache and cookies or logging in with another browser to complete the process. Thank you.

Hello, I am new to upwork and from Pakistan. I am experiencing trouble uploading my billing details.. it's not accepting my visa card details and rejecting. Can someone guide how to address billing and payment issues? Also PayPal option is not available for pakistan i guess hence is there a way around that? Please assist

Ps. There is money in the card and online banking is activated so no loops there.

I am facing a problem where I am not able to edit or write anything in the debit card number option to buy connects. It seems like it is locked somehow.

Before purchasing Connects or a membership plan, you’ll need to add a Billing Method to your account. Please know that Upwork currently accepts Visa, Discover, Diners Club, Diners Club International, Mastercard, and American Express. Prepaid cards are also accepted. You can find more information here

 

I checked but could not replicate the issue you are experiencing. Could you please clear your cache and cookies or log in with another browser to check if the issue persists? You should be able to add your billing method by going to Settings > Billing Methods > Add Method.
