automated invoice by Upwork wrong - Tax & VAT

Hi all, 

the invoice that has been generated by Upwork was wrong, as it charged 20% Mexican tax (I am German registered for tax in Germany) and also charged 16% VAT (as a "small business" in Germany I am not allowed to charge VAT.

How can I fix this? The tax authorities will not accept this invoice.
