automatic Refund

The client bought one of my projects. I completed the work on time and requested payment which was accepted by the client and gave me a good review and then the payment was shown in the pending tab but 1 day later I was informed that I have refunded the amount which I actually did not do by me. Please tell me why this happened to me and how I can receive my money back.

You won't get your money. Was it funded as a bonus payment? And is was not "refunded." Upwork uses that term incorrectly. The client was unable to be charged.

No, the client purchased the project. First of all the payment was shown in escrow and when I completed the project, he released the money, and the payment was shown in the pending tab but after 1 day, I received a message from Upwork on the message board that I refunded the whole amount. Why does this happen to me?

Like I said, it was not refunded. The client was unable to be charged. Probably because the card was stolen and the payment was then rejected when the bank or real card holder discover the charge. I'm sure someone from Upwork will come along and tell you exactly why and what happened.  Sorry this happened to you.

The client has probably issued a chargeback on his card. On the other hand this has been happening far too often recently, so perhaps it is yet another "glitch" on Upwork's side, though I think it is more likely from the client side.  Hanan since you were not paid, if it is possible to track your project online, you could ask Google to remove it.

2 days ago and there was no progress on the issue. No concerned team member has connected me yet. I worry about the other freelancers that the client hired. I think he is also going to scam other freelancers like me by showing fake money in escrow. Please inform the member to connect with me as soon as possible to resolve this issue. Thanks
