can not access the messages

I have an issue with getting access to messages. Anybody experiences the same?

This has never happened before. The red flag keeps saying I have an unread message. I've read all my messages. I've never had it not clear before. Bug?

Believe me, that's better than having an unread message that's invisible to you for days, even though you check the thread regularly. 

At least they can't pretend this is an isolated incident.
