canceled project by client

My client canceled an ongoing project before finishing it and I wasted time on it doing testing. I think this is not a happy ending for me reputation here and I'll be punished in my statistics because of not finished job and I don't know what to do now, and I can't afford this waste of time, I have better things to do for free, so must I open a dispute? thanks

Have you done the work? If yes, you can dispute. How much money are we talking about?

Your metrics will only be affected if the client left poor private feedback. Otherwise there will be zero impact.
