chargeback including upwork 20% fees

A month ago i was charged back on two different jobs with the same client with total of 485$

I know upwork does not provide protection for fixed price projects but why am I supposed to return the full amount to upwork including the 20% service fees ?

my total earnings from these two jobs was 388$ and now i have to return the full amount of 485$

Upwork did not mange to protect me and thats ok but why are you charging me for that poor service ?
