client account suspended and refund initiated by client

hello! i just saw that my client's account is suspended and they initated a refund and was approved by upwork without informing me about it.

 

I already filed a dispute for it but the amount wasn't credited back to me.

client is also asking me to resume work even if the contact is still suspended on my end. please enlighten me

Don't do any more work until the contract is back in place, and hope your dispute goes through.

That was an hourly contract, right? In that case, the client never paid for your hours and they didn't qualify for protection, maybe because you used manual time or had no meaningful work memos.

 

If that's the case, the client needs to pay you,
