Hello, everyone!
I'm having very ling presale with one client. He placed an order for 150 000 which is a considerable budget, but his idea is that all the prelimenary stages like detailed project plan ahould be done for free. I disagree with that and asked for payed milestone. He sayed that he will create a new account for that first payed milestone. Does this l;ooks suspesious to you? How can I protect myself in this case?

Create a new account or a new contract?
As far as I'm aware, clients are only allowed to have one client account.

he says he will create a new account for this particular contract. I'd like to know whether it is available for clients to have multiple accounts. And what should I do in this case. It seems an unexpected idea to me.

Valentin, just like freelancers clients can only have one account I believe. This sounds pretty odd to me.

If something seems too good to be true (a $ 150.000 contract given to a new freelancer) and then gets weird (free work / no milestones / “new account”) then all the warning bells that go off in your gut are trying to tell you something...............

Hi Valentin,
Could you please send a private message to me with the link to the interview or original job posting? We'll have it reviewed. The client shouldn't ask you to work on the project for free and shouldn't create a duplicate account just to hire you.
