client testimonial request doesn't work - linkedin profile field buggy

The thing is that my client is from Norway and his name uses special
characters from the Norwegian language. Could this be the problem?

I am also receiving the same kind of error 'Invalid LinkedIn profile'. I've already tried entering the link in the supported formats described above, deleted the cache, and changed the browser but is still not working. 
The only valid Linkedin profile link I received from the client is in the following format: https://www.linkedin.com/in/firstname-lastname-111111111
