Hi I am new to upwork and a little bit cautious about scam. If a clients messages you and ask them to contact you through watts app or telegram is this usually ok or are you best keep messaging through the website?

Communicating with potential clients outside of Upwork *WITHOUT* having a contract in place is against Upwork's TOS. You must keep messaging through the website.

Lately, there has been a flood of scam job posts that ask freelancers to contact them on Whatsapp, Telegram, etc. You must prevent them.
