contract with paid and inactive milestone

I want to know if a contract on which a milstone has been completed and paid and currently has no active milestones will get terminated automatically after some time?

No , the client needs to end the contract or you do it from your side.

True, but there is an exception: contracts with Enterprise clients automatically close after a certain period of time. If the client is no longer paying attention and doesn't respond to the email notification that the contract closed, then you wind up with no feedback on the contract. (I learned this the hard way.)
