desktop app login fails

I'm getting the same error on a mac. I tried the beta version of the app, tried just using username, then using Google Sign in and then removing it, changing password... nothing works.

I don't think it has anything to do with Cache on my browser but the error pops up too fast - I don't have any firewall active.
