Hi Narendra,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please know that as a freelancer, you pay the freelancer fee on all billings, including hours, milestones, projects, and bonuses. It is included in the amounts clients see on your proposals, contracts, and profile. This is part of the Terms of Service you agreed to upon signing up.

re: "double service tax"

We want to refer to the fees that Upwork takes out of freelancer earnings as "fees."

We don't want to use the word "tax," because that word is reserved for something else.

Upwork has a fee on all earnings, but Upwork does not levy taxes.

Taxes are imposed by geographically-based governmental bodies.
