Hi Paul,

Please go to your Contracts and select the one you want to close, once you enter contract room you would be able to locate 3 dots icon in the upper right corner and select ''end contract'' option! Please let us know if you need further help! Thank you!

What do you mean "loss of milestone?"

Is there money in Escrow (the milestone is funded?? If yes, have you done the work? If yes, have you clicked on "Submit work and request payment?"

Provided something has been paid under the contract it won't hurt your JSS unless you have a significant percentage of such contracts.

Yes, the milestone is funded. yes, I have done the work. And yes, I have clicked on "Submit work and request payment"

Here in the community everyone is recommended to just wait 2 weeks. But in this post advised immediately to close the contract himself.

But I just for the moment successfully managed to ask the client to close the contract.

If everything has been paid and the contract is long term inactive, that is when it makes sense to close it, not immediately after the work is done and the freelancer hasn't even been paid yet! That would be just downright stupid.
