I'm not sure, but I think " hires" means the job is still open and the client may hire some more freelancers, whereas "hired" means the job has already been closed by the client. This is my observation. I may be wrong.
I did remember that and therefore I did search relatively here, but never retrieved the tab "My posts" that I also did remember existing-malfunction.
