how long does it take for a fixed cost project to become inactive

Hello Upwork Community,

 

I had read somewhere that if a contract is not having any payment in last 3 months, it will count inactive. May I know how long it takes for a fixed cost project to become inactive?

If funds are in Escrow, Upwork closes the contract after 90 days.

If no funds are in Escrow, nothing happens, ever.


Inactive contracts (assuming you don't have crazy many of them) do no harm provided money was at some point in the past paid under the contract.

After 90 days upwork close inactive contracts.

As Petra has said above:
