how to return withdrawed money from paypal

Hi, I am freelancer. I had money. then i accidently withdraw money in my paypal account. then in my paypal account I pressed refund to return my money on upwork but money isn't on my upwork account and what to do? can anyone help me? I don't want to lose my money...

Hi Valeri,

If you reversed the withdrawal, your funds will be deposited back in your Upwork account balance in a couple of days. Your funds are safe and once they become available you can initiate another withdrawal.

You can also contact PayPal Support and check if they can assist you with your refund request.

this same to my situation I posted today. I have only way to get my money back from paypal, to re-fund my money to Upwork.

what is your advise. I do not want to buy any thing with my money through paypal.

Yes, this works. I clicked refund on my paypal. then I contacted to upwork support, then I tell them transaction ID and other informations (they will tell you what info they need) and they will refund you your money on upwork

Dear Upwork community. I have the same problem in recent days. I'm a freelancer and last month I already got moeny from my jobs and withdrawed them to my paypal.

But few days ago my paypal account has so complex issue and they said it will take about a month to fix.

As you know since xmas they will not work, and it means I can't get money in this year. That's a bit serious to me.
So I hope to return those money to my upwork account back and withdraw again to another payment.
Btw, on my paypal I can't see refund button on the transactions from only upwork, I can see that button on other transactions, but can't refund only the upwork withdraw money.

Please help me is it possible and how can I return money to upwork back.

Hi Boris,

Please, work with PayPal to access the funds on your account. Funds that have successfully been withdrawn can't be refunded back to Upwork account.

I have the same issue. I tried to withdrew money from my account through paypal. But paypal, suspended my account for unknown reason. The money is not yet deposited to my paypal account but it is withdrawen from my upwork account. My money is gone. How can I reverse the withdrawal? Please help me.

I also have the same issue I want to return my money from paypal to upwork. In fact I already click the refund at paypal and the money disappeared in my paypal account. However the amount is not reflecting yet in my upwork account even if I already submitted the requirements they ask. Unfortunately,I didn't receive their customer service response yet.

It depends on the payment method and you might need to take into consideration the holiday weekend as well. Keep checking your Transaction History report for an update as I can't advise on the approximate ETA.

WERE you specifically instructed by Upwork to do a refund?

Did you discuss it with Upwork first and did you then send the Transaction ID to the Upwork agent who instructed you to refund???

You won't be able to refund your withdrawal without the assistance of our team. Note that withdrawals can't be refunded except in a small number of cases, which our team needs to review and confirm a refund can be allowed.

Please, submit a request with all the details about the refund you made. Please, include the reference number of the transaction and the date you issued the refund. The team will review and assist you with locating your funds.
