i have 2 upwork accounts, can i juse the same phone number?

Can you help with this issue? I created a new account, but apparently, my phone number is attached to another account with different email addresses. Am I able to have two accounts? Or do I need to close the old one? Are you able to combine the two?

Please advise.

Creating and using multiple freelancer accounts is considered a TOS violation and may lead to the suspension of all linked accounts. Please close all duplicate accounts and retain only one account that you would like to continue. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reply to this message.

Keep only the account she wants to keep?
This is not supposed to be the case. She should keep the original account.
Saying this, it seems that if she creates a second account because the first one is "bad", she could skip the TOS and keep the second one that has done better.

You've noticed it correctly. If a moderator writes something that contradicts the rules then what do we want from newbies?
