is there a waiting time for freelancers?

My daughter registered yesterday at UpWork because one of my clients wanted some work from her, so I told her to signup here.

Today, the client sent her the invitation, yet she didn't get anything.

Is there some kind of waiting time or something? Or some step she has to do?

Hi Fabio,

Please advise your daughter to check her Proposals-Invitations to Interviews or the bell icon. She should be able to locate the invitation there.
