job no longer available

can anyone explain this?? I sent a proposal for this job and i spent 4 connects..now the job is no longer available and the client has not hired anyone for this job. Will upwork refund my connects?

Maybe the hire is not yet updated. No, you don't get your connects back when the client hires someone.
