partial refund for hourly job

Now in a dispute with a client over hourly work done.

Ive been a member since upwork was elance.

My client wants a refund for hourly work.

I have 3 choices on the refund page

Accept Dispute and submit refund (full amount)

Reject Dispute

If I hit the accept disput and submit refund, does that page take me to another page where I can choose to give him a partial refund?  This is what he is willing to do, and so am I.

For hourly jobs a freelancer is paid for the HOURS they worked. Not for the work produced.

  1. If you used Tracker to record your hours
  2. entered meaningful notes in the screenshots Tracker screen
  3. and had reasonable keystroke activity

then the client can not dispute the hours recorded.

However if you

entered manual hours, had screenshots that showed you were doing something else such as reading and sending personal email, playing games, surfing the internet or watching youtube videos. showed blank screen shots and had unusually high or low keystroke activity, (using a keystroke logger)  then you will not be paid for that and the client can delete those hours.

So, if you did what's numbered in the 1st paragraph, then you can reject dispute

If you want to give a partial refund, choose the 3rd option and leave a comment to that effect.
