payment to freelancer

HI, I am a client. My business name is OK International Student Recruitment. My questions is if a freelancer completed my work do i need to inform upwork to release the payment to the freelancer, or its done by you?Omar

If it's a fixed price contract you need to approve the milestone to release the payment.

If the contract is hourly you will be invoiced on Monday for the hours worked during the week and your default billing method is charged automatically.

Freelancers should request the payment to be release through the system when they deliver the work. After that you have 14 days to check and approve the work and release the payment before the system does it by default.
