phone number bug

every time i enter my phone number it says "phone number must be digits". i've tried entering it every possible way and yet it still doesnt work. I'd like to use your website but this is keeping me from finishing my profile.

cleared the cache in three seperate browsers and still got the

 Phone number must be digits error. This is something i've seen posted about by a lot of other users here...
