Hi:

I thought that the service fees dropped form 20% to 10% once you hit $500 with the client.    I just checked my statement and it was still 20%.

Help.  Am I wrong?

Hi Jennifer,

Yes that is correct, your contract fee is reduced to 10% once you have earned $500 with a client. Please keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for the fee to be updated. If your fee is still 20% after 24 hours let us know here, thank you.

Hi. I thought that once your old client renewed your contract the service fee will stay at 10%. I just checked my statement and it went back to 20%

  • $0-$500: 20%
  • $500.01-$10,000: 10%
  • $10,000 or more: 5%

It does stay at 10% if it was at 10% before, provided the 2 parties are identical (the client is not using a different client account and the freelancer is hired the same way as before (not through an agency once and once directly)
