I suggest that you promote yourself as an illustrator, not a logo designer. The detailed sketches that you're doing wouldn't work very well as logos, and logo design is one of the most over-subscribed and underpaid categories on Upwork anyway. But first, you need to add at least 5-6 more items to your portfolio and spend a lot more time improving your overview (refer to the links that Bojan has provided). Good luck.
