Probably because 60 connects is what you get with a free membership. I don't think there's anything in place about getting your money back for unused connects.

 

I would have burned through those 80 connects before cancelling my membership ... or as many as I feasibly could at any rate.

You paid for the rollover and you got the rollover. You then decided to no longer pay for the rollover, and as a result, you're no longer getting the rollover. It's all pretty straightforward.

I checked your account and can see that you have until August 17 to consume your remaining 138 connects before you plan reverts back to basic on the said date.
