verify client

Hello, greetings to all. I'm new a Upwork and I want to tell you about a situation. Yesterday I received a message on the platform from a client accepting my proposal. The point is that he also sent me a PDF  file with a link that took me to another site and there he made the offer to me. I want to know if this is okay, or if everything should be shared within the platform?  Can this be a scam? Thank you so much..

This is SCAM. Report it to Upwork, and never agree to communicate outside, until the contract is in place.

As Natasha stated, this is a scam and freelancers should never communicate outside of Upwork before a contract is in place.
