what happens when a contract is idle for almost 75 days?

I am working on a project and the contract is idle for the last 75 days or less. I received the email from Upwork to take action otherwise I will receive a refund request automatically. Now I have submitted the project from my jobs dashboard for that particular contract. Now client asked me for a revision. question is if the time exceeds 75 days, is there any chance now that I receive the refund request?

thanks

Hi Abubakar,

Thank you for your message. Yes, a Fixed-Price Contract that has a Fixed-Price Escrow Account with a balance but has had no activity for 90 consecutive calendar days after the last Milestone date will be considered a Dormant Engagement. Activity on Fixed Price contracts refers to milestone updates or requests, adding or releasing funds or requesting refunds from Fixed-Price Escrow, requests to close the Fixed-Price Contract, etc. Check out section 4.3 for more information on our Terms of Services.

Thank you,

Pradeep

I requested the amount and the client asked for one more revision and rejected the request, will my client be given the refund automatically?

Hi Abubakar,

Thank you for reaching out to us. You have 7 days to accept or reject the client’s request for an escrow refund otherwise the refund will be given to the client. Please check this article for more information.

I have not received the refund request yet. what I am saying is that will I receive the refund request after the rejection of the amount approval request?

Hi Abubakar,

No, they won't. They have to request for it.
