why I can't find my profile in a search by freelancers?

Hello everyone!

Can you help me to undestand how to appear in the search (Find freelancers)? I can't find my profile by key words like "presentation design", "pitch deck" etc.

Most of us give up on trying to search for ourselves soon after we start using Upwork.

Upwork search doesn't work like Google search.

Search results are rotated, so the results you see today won't be the same as what you see next week.

And results vary depending on if you are logged in or not.

Personally, I don't find it beneficial to me to worry about this.

I agree that the search function doesn't work very well. I took a look for myself just the other day (and before anyone says anything, I fully realise "that way madness lies"). I get that there are thousands of freelancers and they rotate the results and yada yada yada, but at one point I tried various combinations of words like "Presentation specialist UK" and got "there are no matches" in response, which is most unfortunate since I AM a presentation specialist in the UK. I also tried simply "Presentations" within the UK group and scrolled the first 20 pages or so, but a lot of the people who showed up in the search results didn't seem to offer presentation services AT ALL. Which is a bit of a problem.
