hello,
I successfully completed a project which is now closed with 5 star review from the client.
however, I need to remove the project from my history for legal reasons with both our countries.
I have decided to give the client a full refund (it will be a freebie) and so my question is will this project then be completely removed from my profile? or is there a way to keep the project listed and the earnings are zero?
Thanks

Yes, refunding a contract entirely will remove it from your profile. However, the effects of private feedback will remain.

Would you mind providing instructions on how to refund money back to a client?

Hi,
check this link:
https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211068538-Give-a-Refund
I used the option in the section "To issue a refund" since my client had paid me in full for a fixed job.
you can also do this for hourly.
